Modest Costuming
What to wear to class
Our dress code grows out of one of our core values — Modest Costuming. Simple, modest attire helps every dancer focus, move safely and feel confident, while letting teachers see alignment and guide proper technique.
By style & program
- Ballet & Pre-Ballet Fitted leotard with pink or skin-tone tights and ballet shoes. Hair in a secure bun, off the face and neck.
- Tap Tap shoes with fitted, comfortable dancewear so movement stays clean and visible.
- Jazz Jazz shoes with fitted dancewear that allows a full range of motion.
- Hip Hop Athletic, comfortable clothing with clean, indoor-only sneakers (worn only inside the studio).
- Lyrical & Contemporary Leotard or fitted attire with footundeez or bare feet, as directed by your instructor.
- Acro A fitted one-piece and bare feet, with no jewelry — nothing that could catch during balances and tumbling.
- Pointe By instructor approval only. Approved dancers wear properly fitted pointe shoes with a fitted leotard, tights and a secure bun.
- Discover (ages 2–5) We keep it simple and joyful — any comfortable dancewear your little one can move in, with ballet shoes. Easy, relaxed and fun for first-time dancers.
